The AILA New England Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee is collecting data on incidents of bias experienced by our clients at both USCIS and EOIR. We are collecting this data for at least a 6 month period so that we can generate a report based on the particular incidents in our jurisdictions. The goal of the report is to initiate meaningful and impactful dialogue with USCIS and EOIR around issues of cognitive or unconscious bias, especially in light of the administration’s decisions to end a variety of DEI training.
